Get Involved! Please join us!
There are a number of ways you can get involved with the
Carteret Local Food Network by volunteering your time to become a team player.
Normal bookkeeper activities, no payroll or tax-filings.
CLFN is actively seeking a volunteer to assist us finding grants that will support our mission. This volunteer would seek out funding
opportunities from private and public sources, complete and submitting the paperwork, and writing updates to grantor as required.
We receive multiple grant offerings each week, but need someone who supports our goals to review and sort through our opportunities. Please contact Trish to discuss further.
Website/ Facebook Designer
Some of our local farmers and fishers are too busy in the field and on the water to learn how to get connected; can you help them? Can you help us?
Help interview the 'man or woman on the street' as part of a team throughout Carteret County.
Food events/ Set Up/ Clean Up
Behind the Scenes - know how to wash pots and pans? expert at clearing dishes? can you fold napkins? You're hired! (so to speak). We task friends with setting up tables and chairs, wiping tablecloths, setting out napkins and tableware, assisting chef, serving at a buffet line, bussing plates, folding it all away again. Sometimes your reward is a free meal, sometimes a pat on back, but you are always appreciated. Please contact Caroline to help.
Marketing/ Publicity/ Newsletters
Help to shape the face

Like bossing people around? Like finding smiles on new faces? Help us coordinate all the potential jobs and populate them with new energy.
