delighted a crowd of 65 local food enthusiasts and
celebrated the bounty of the season, held at Garner Farm in Newport. The menu was created by using the freshest local vegetables, fruits and
seafood available at this time. Many
thanks to the Garner Family and the Lockman family of chefs, who sourced Mahi Mahi and Wahoo
from Cpt. Oliver Russell, all produce from ‘Garner Farms’ and ‘Longleaf Farms’,
microgreens from ‘Harlowe Custom Microgreens’, Sunflower Sourdough Loaf from
‘Wildflour Bakery’ and Goat Cheese from ‘The Goat Lady Dairy’.
The delicious foods
had a Cinco de Mayo flair with delicious fish tacos, salsa’s, amazing vegetable
salads, gazpacho with local shrimp and topped off with fresh strawberry
shortcake!
