Meatless Monday” was an energizing gathering of folks interested in learning more about choosing fresh local vegetables for your diet and also the effects of eating meat at the scale we do in this country.
The transportation “costs” in food value and nutrition, as well as the fuel to get it to ours stores and tables are an added burden we can work on!
Most of our grain food production goes to feed the animals. Our meal was a delicious collection of carefully prepared foods by the 21 people who came and shared it with each other at the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship in Morehead City.
